Экшен от компании Eidos Interactive рассказывает историю одной революции. Главный герой – Рико Родригес – отправляется в тропическое государство Сан-Эсперито с одной целью: свергнуть коррумпированную власть.

Методы, которые он выберет для осуществления своих планов, целиком зависят от игрока – в игре предусмотрена полная свобода действий и передвижения, а также множество разнообразных транспортных средств: катера, субмарины, мотоциклы, автомобили, вертолеты и даже истребители!

Только здесь можно выпрыгнуть из летящего вертолета, пролететь несколько километров на параплане, приземлиться на крышу гонящего по трассе авто и, забравшись в кабину, завладеть управлением.
